Coinbase to offer pre-launch markets for altcoins ahead of their listing

How successful was the experience of launching trading in perpetual contracts with competitors (Binance, Bybit, etc.)? And what gives traders and coins the opportunity to participate in the pre-market?

A launchpad is a kind of pre-market or pre-sale platform where you can trade perpetual contracts on new altcoins before they are officially listed on the exchange's spot market.

Coinbase competitors such as Binance, Bybit and others have generally had positive experiences when offering such launchpads. This makes it possible to attract more traders and liquidity to the new coins even before their official listing. However, such pre-markets are quite risky due to high volatility and potential liquidity shortages.

For traders, participation in the launchpad provides an opportunity to be one of the first to invest in promising altcoins and try to make money on their upside after listing on the main exchange. Needless to say, downside risk could emerge if the coin shows low liquidity or experiences a sharp price drop.

As regards the altcoins, taking part in the pre-market allows them to attract additional attention and liquidity to their tokens even before the official listing, as well as create initial price momentum after their debut on the exchange's spot market.
